The architectural style planned for Liberty on the River’s 10 towers by K4 Philadelphia, LLC is eclectic, reflective of the phased-in nature of the construction and with a nod to the idea of creating a new Philadelphia community, rather than a stand-alone “project.”

The architecture will also subtly reflect the site’s history as headquarters for Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 19.

Variation in building heights will also be a cornerstone of the Liberty on the River master plan. The tallest building will be set closet to Columbus Boulevard with a “stepping down” to more modest heights closer to the piers. This will maximize the quality and beauty of views from all buildings, and will create as much light and air as possible for the open space elements.

The bottom line goal for K4 Philadelphia, LLC’s Liberty on the River architecture: to create a dynamic, state-of-the-art, urban neighborhood to both serve – and reflect — the growing, rapidly developing and increasingly sophisticated Philadelphia Delaware River Waterfront.
